Best Acoustic Guitars for Beginners

Finding the best acoustic guitars for beginners is really about quality and price, both are equally important.

For example if you buy a super cheap guitar that offers no sound quality or doesn't play the way you expect it to, you won't appreciate the sound and lose interest quickly.

That means you've just wasted your money and your time.

But you don't want your first guitar to be super expensive either, although for some people buying an expensive first guitar is motivation for learning ;-) plus you can always look at it as a valued investment, however a good, quality guitar doesn't have to be super expensive and in all reality, it shouldn't be.

For those just starting out, start with 6 strings, starting with 12 strings can be a little harder.

Here are my suggestions for the best acoustic guitars for beginners

Aria AD-28 Acoustic Guitar
Aria manufactures high end quality guitars and the Aria AD-28 one especially recommended for beginners and is available for around $450.

This is a little on the expensive side but these guitars offer a bit more sound quality than many of their counterparts.  It's also one of the better looking guitars with a chrome and Mahogany body.

Alvarez AF410 Acoustic Guitar
Well known within the guitar world, the Alvarez Af410 comes in at around $350. Still a little expensive but it also has a great quality sound and professional build.

Yamaha FG700S Acoustic Guitar
Compared to other acoustic guitars, the Yamaha FG700S is probably the cheapest and most cost effective coming in at a price of about $200.  Probably the most ideal for beginners it's also one of the most recognized and used. It features a solid Sitka spruce top, rosewood fingerboard and diecast tuners.

Takamine GS330S Acoustic Guitar
Priced at about $300 the Takamine has a solid cedar top with a rosewood fretboard.  It comes with an excellent rating because of its nice high end distinctive tone. It has a good sound with very little bass which makes it good for vocals.  It's super easy to tune and the feel and sound of the guitar justifies the price.

Epiphone AJ100 Jumbo Acoustic Guitar

The best price of all is this guitar coming in at about $100, even with this low price it has an awesome quality sound. For $100 the body is Mahogany wood which contributes to its great sound which has a balanced expression, warm bass, and superb projection. Colors come in Natural, Ebony and Sunburst.

It can be a daunting task researching what is considered the best acoustic guitars for beginners, but this list is a good start.

As you review guitars, listen to their sound and find the ones that feel the most comfortable and whatever that is will be the best acoustic guitar for you.
